Companies may face criminal prosecution if they fail to prevent bribery – including overseas bribery, the new Bribery Act is the UK’s attempt to get tougher on companies accused of involvement. It came into force on 1 July 2011.
We are confident that our policies and procedures comply with the provisions of the bribery act and to ensure that we adhere we have:
- Carried out a risk assessment to identify key areas of concerns and due diligence procedures for high risk areas.
- Published a formal statement to all of our staff
- Updated key policies to cover bribery including whistleblowing and disciplinary procedures.
- Additionally we have a new company policy on gifts and corporate hospitality; please click the link below to review this policy.
